This pair of antique Chinese wedding baskets date to the early 20th century - circa 1920. They are constructed from lacquered wood. Chinese symbols and lacquered floral motifs decorate these pieces. 

These baskets were traditionally filled with dried fruit, sweets & nuts and presented to the bride & groom at the wedding ceremony.
